This is a minimum one year commitment which allows the graduate to develop their voice and build a portfolio should they desire to pursue grad school or to continue on making work as a professional artist. This is a non paid position, offers the Resident materials, equipment and firing capabilities in a great studio environment. In exchange the Resident Artist is required to assist or teach classes, assist at workshops, load and fire kilns, help manage the studio, and any other chores around the studio.

Resident Responsibilities

Maintain studio operations-keep studio clean, neat and organized

Materials inventory and maintenance, mix glazes

Class instruction/teaching assistant

Kiln- manage and maintain kilns, glazes, loading, firing, unloading, cleaning up

Resident will have to find housing and a way to pay for it, we can assist in finding housing and a job. Will need a car, the studio is in a rural area
